Esprit
was founded in 1981 to supply the demand for a simple yet
effective method of windscreen repair.
Initially
supplied to the bus & coach industry in the UK, the
Esprit windscreen repair system was soon in demand from
all sections of the automobile industry. Firstly approved
by Ford of Europe, many other major motor manufacturers
soon followed with their approval and recommendation of
the Esprit repair system.
The
Esprit windscreen repair system is under constant development
with new materials and equipment to ensure that then, as
now, Esprit is always the leader in windscreen repair technology.
As
a mark of the quality systems in operation Esprit have been
awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification. In addition Esprit
Windscreen Repair Systems have passed the British Standard
for windscreen repair equipment - BS AU 251:1994 and the
Australian / New Zealand windscreen repair standard AS/NZS
2366.2:1999.
With
a move to a modern factory near Manchester International
Airport in 1995, Esprit opened a training school for distributors
and customers.
Esprit
are now the approved system for windscreen repairs by most
of the leading vehicle manufacturers including: ~ Honda
UK, Jaguar Cars Limited, Ford of Europe, Ford Motor Company
Limited, Nissan Motor (GB) Limited, BMW (GB) Limited. Rover
Cars Limited, TVR, Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Peugeot UK
Esprit
windscreen repair systems LLP now has a growing distribution
and technical back up network throughout the UK and in forty
countries worldwide.
The Esprit windscreen repair system is also used in motor
sport, being the repairer of the Harrods and the West McLaren
teams for the 1996 World GT Endurance Championship and was
part of the G-Force Porsche GT1 team in 1998. Our technical
people are currently working with GT teams at all the major
meetings in Europe and the USA.
With
our specialist windscreen repair knowledge and our commitment
to technical excellence we are members of the British Standards
technical committee (BSI) for automotive glazing allowing
us access to the latest developments in glazing worldwide
and at the same time giving us an opportunity to put something
back into the glazing industry in the UK.
